From Richard Walker:

It is with regret that I have to inform you that Gordon passed away in the Nursing Home a few days ago. Gordon was well into his 90s and served as a Deck Officer in the RFA in the 1950s before becoming a lecturer at Plymouth School of Navigation. He used to regularly attend meetings until he was too frail to do so.

Detail of his funeral will be posted when we have them. RIP Gordon.

UPDATE.

I have now heard that Gordon’s funeral will be at 1200 on next Friday the 17th January 2025 at The Park Crematorium Plymouth in room 1. This is the new Crematorium between Plympton and Plymstock. You are invited to have coffee and cake at the café on the Crematorium site between 1030 and 1130 as there will not be a wake afterwards. I will be parading the Standard for the funeral.
