Do you wish you were on line but find the prospect of buying and setting up a computer daunting?
You might be interested to know that our friends in the RN Association are prepared to share Project Semaphore with us and supply an iPads free of charge to veterans, including RFA veterans, who qualify. iPads are far simpler to use than computers but they still enable you to go on-line, search the web, email and skype with friends.
The object of Project Semaphore is to help older veterans who may find it difficult to operate a computer but who could use an iPad.
To be considered, the strict criteria is:
- You must be a member of the RFA Association
- And be aged 65 or over
- And you must have a sponsor. (The sponsor is a person who is prepared to set up the iPad for you and who will be the point of contact with the RNA/RFAA. clearly they will need some IT skills but this could perhaps be a younger family member or colleague.)
