Gales Seafarer’s Ale Supports Seafarer’s UK
Not as you might have thought some diatribe by me about the weather, but I could witter on about that if you would like, but a very generous donation to Seafarers UK (Formerly the KG5 Fund for Sailors) from Gales Brewery wherein they donate £5 to Seafarer’s for each barrel sold. Sadly this beer seems to be sold mostly in the South (when you live ooop North like me even Darlington is down South (exclam)). There is an attached list of Pubs stocking Seafarer you can download Gales Seafarers Ale (23.87 kB).
Now here’s the good news, no longer will “I’m going to the pub” generate a frosty stare from the memsahib, never again will a skinful get you the arched eybrows or the redistribution of certain parts of the female anatomy in the immortal style of Les Dawson on your return home, after all you have just been out to make a donation to charity and what could be a more generous and totally decent think to do.
Originally developed as a tribute to Gales’ close association with all who sail the seas, Gales Seafarers is a wonderfully light refreshing beer that has grown in stature considerably since its launch into our permanent range in 2009.
For every barrel of Seafarers sold a donation is made to Seafarers UK, the leading maritime charity, helping support seafarers and their families. In 2009/10 Fuller’s donated over £22,000 to the charity, and we are hoping that the donation will be even more this year so make sure you look out for the beer in a pub near you.
