THE JAMES COULLL MEMORIAL AWARD 2018

The trustees of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Association are delighted to announce that the 2018 Commodore James Coull Memorial Award has been made to First Officer (now Chief Officer) Jamie Edward Finlay RFA for his outstanding performance in RFA Mounts Bay, during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster  Relief Operations in the British OverseasTerritories of Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands,the Turks Caicos Islands and the independent  island of Dominica (Operation Rumen) after they suffered unprecedented damage post hurricanes IRMA and  MARIA. It is clear that he ticked all the boxes one would expect from an officer of the modern RFA and more.

The presentation will be made to First Officer(X), now Chief Officer(X) Jamie Finlay RFA (Congratulations) in HMS Nelson Wardroom on Monday 2nd July 2018 (TTBC) as well the presentation of the 2017 Commodore James Coull Memorial Award to CPO(E) Martin Crawford RFA whose presentation could not be made due to the exigencies of the Service.
