It is with much sadness that I report that Chief Officer(E) Edward Fowler Wardlaw RFA(Retd) crossed the bar on Tuesday 15th March 2016. His daughter, June Bell has sent me the following email:-
“Edward Fowler Wardlaw was in the RFA for about 27 years, he joined about 1952-53 until he retired in 1979. Sadly he passed away this morning with kidney failure after a short illness. He was very proud and loved to talk about his years in the RFA. I have attached a photo of him and would be grateful if you could post it on your website along with details of his funeral, it is Thursday 24th March at 2 o’clock at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium, Dreghorn, Irvine, Ayrshire. KA11 4EF” (HERE for the website and HERE for a Map).
On behalf of the RFA Association I wish his widow and all their family our sincere condolences.
If you have any remembrances of Edward please email it to me at deputy.chairman@rfaa.uk and I will post them on this page. I am also looking for photographs of Edward for this piece and the RFA Association Gallery and Archive, If you have one please email it to me.
