It is with so much sadness that I report that Commodore(E) David Preston OBE RFA (Retd) known as “Donny” (see below) Crossed the Bar on 9th June 2021 aged 65. Dave was not a member of our Association but was, of course, a member of our RFA family. Dave crossed the bar after a battle with cancer
I have spoken to and passed on our sincere condolences the family who will update me with the arrangements as things develop. They have appointed Richard W Gegg, Funeral Directors (HERE for the website and HERE for a map) to make the arrangements for Dave’s cremation.
Family flowers only but donations in Dave’s name should be made to Hospicecare and or McMillan Nurses.
Again, and on behalf of the RFA Association, I offer our sincere condolences to his widow Denise, sons Michael and Stephen and grandson.
Dave’s nickname was “Donny” as in “Donny Osmonde” due to his youthful looks.
