Flooding at Alrewas
Photographs of Ian Thompson’s recent visit to the RFA Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas on Sunday 25th November show severe flooding around the site. Our Memorial was still clear of the flooding despite the absolutely waterlogged surrounding area.
There were 4 rememberance crosses on the memorial –
Dave McKenzie, Dougie Cunningham, Simon Tudor Jones and Ken Morrison.
Whilst the RFA memorial remained high and dry other parts of the NMA at Alrewas suffered partial flooding in the recent rains as these pictures show,
