Dear Colleagues,
At the recent AGM held in Liverpool, our Chairman Frank Andrews passed the chairmanship of the North West Branch to yours truly due to his many other national and local commitments.
Although we are the smallest branch in numbers, and stretch from Lancashire in the North to the Lleyn Peninsula in the West, I would like to organise a short meeting and luncheon in the Autumn. I feel that Chester offers the easiest option, being on main lines from the East, Wirral, North and mid Wales and also easily accessible by car.
At the AGM I spoke to Captain John Sale, Chairman of the Midlands Branch to clarify if he would mind me contacting members in the NW currently allocated to his Branch.
I wiil shortly be writing to current members in the NW to ask for their opinions on my suggestion, and look forward to hearing from you.
