It is with so much sadness that I report that Second Officer (E) Alex Landels RFA(Retd). (Member number 0440) crossed the bar on Monday 30th Jun 2020 aged 76 after a short illness and in hospital on the Isle of Wight. Due to the Covid19 restrictions it will be a private funeral followed by cremation. the arrangements for which I will sitrep on this page in due course. There will be no wake but Alex’s wife Moira has asked that old collegues and shipmates “Raise a Glass” to Alex as he takes his final voyage.
The funeral arrangements are being made by Taylor’s Funeral Directors (HERE for their website and HERE for a map.
Family flowers only but Moira has asked that donations, in lieu, if desired and in Alex’s memory should be made a cancer or maritime charity of your choice.
