SCOTTISH ANNUAL SEAFARERS SERVICE

The Annual Seafarers Service in St Mungo’s Cathedral Glasgow (HERE for their website and HERE for a map)will take place on Sunday 23rd October at 1100. The service, which is set in the context of the of the routine Sunday act of worship at the Cathedral, is intended as a celebration of our nation’s seafarers both past and present from the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets.

The service is preceded by a parade of local Sea Cadets inspected by the Naval Regional Commander, Scotland & Northern Ireland. The Royal Marines Band will provide musical accompaniment and a retiring collection will be taken up on behalf of Seafarers UK.
