Also, the Constitution was ammended by a ballot of the membership to reflect the period of service for Trustees. Well that’s it over for another year and didn’t the organising team do well. Particular thanks must go to Ian (The Bear) Thompson for all his stalwart efforts and, of course to Robin Locke in his role as our Corporate Fundraiser. Mention must also be made of the staff at the Liner Hotel who really dug out for us and for a second time proved what an excellent venue the hotel is. Without all this effort the evening might not have been the success it was.
Some of the raffle prizes were absolutely amazing, an electric golf caddy, a wide screen television to name but two, and Ossie Jones, a celebrated Marine Artist donated a original painting of RFA Fort George. (Ossie painted the picture of RFA Bacchus on the Christmas Cards).

See you next year at the Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham on 17th May 2014, don’t miss it, the S&N team are well on the case and it promises to be a terrific do. Extra supplies of lanterns (swinging for the use of) have been ordered by the Hotel as have large quantities of anti-seasick pills for the wives.
