Sitrep 1, Revised funeral arrangements,
It is with much sadness that I report that MM1A Peter Geary RFA(Retd) crossed the bar on 24th October 2019 aged 69. Peter was not a member of our Association but was, nevertheless, a part of our RFA family.
Peter’s funeral service will take place at Thursday 21st November at 12.15 at The Oaks Crematorium (HERE for their website and HERE for a map) conducted by a Celebrant, it is a burial but we preferred a celebrant taking it rather than the religious service at the church followed by interrment at 13.30 at St Thomas à Becket Church Cemetery, Warblington (HERE for their website and HERE for a map).
The arrangements for the funeral are being made by Searsons Funeral Directors, 25-29 Park Parade,Havant PO9 5AA. (HERE for their website and HERE for a map)
Old Shipmates and colleagues will be most welcome to attend and will bw invited to joinn the family afterwards for refreshments. At the request of the the family the Rig of the Day wil be colourful clothing or anything that’s not too dark as dad will appreciate that to match his vibrant personality.
Flowers will be welcome and a collection will be taken at the Service co-ordinated by the Funeral Directors, donations will be in aid of the British Heart Foundation (HERE) and the RNLI (HERE)
