Crossed the Bar
Bill Dwyer 2nd Engineer (retd) passed the bar on August 2nd 2022 in hospital in Bristol after suffering a severe stroke in October 2021 and since then there has been a slow deterioration. . The past few weeks became particularly hard but Bill passed peacefully in his sleep.
Bill served on RFA Sir Lancelot in the Falklands as 3rd Engineer and received a Commander Task Force 317 Commendation for his repairs and getting the ship ready for sea after being bombed in San Carlos. He will be sorely missed by his shipmates, a true gentleman.

Burial at :- Almonsbury Cemetery, Tockington Lane, Lower Almonsbury, Bristol. BS32 4DX

Although Bill wasn’t a member of the Association he was well respected by all his shipmates.
