It is with great sadness I have to report that John Littlechild Senior Purser Crossed The Bar 18th May. Details of the funeral will be posted when known.

David Palin reports: I am in touch with his sister who gave me the sad news. John was diagnosed with liver cancer a month ago and flew to UK shortly afterwards. He was staying with his sister until his condition deteriorated just a couple days ago, then he went into hospital.
His sister was with him when he passed and he told her he had no regrets, had a great life with a wonderful partner and many great friends.
The funeral is likely to be in Clacton on Sea and when I get the details, I’ll pass them on.
We sailed together often, starting with Stromness and my 21st, then often on LSLs. Since retirement I’ve seen him from time to time in Bangkok, most recently about 6 weeks ago.
