I have received from George Mason, CPO(Carp) RFA Retd, the sad news that Ernest (Ernie) Pratt, Working Party Joiner, died Saturday 20th August. George sailed with him on Resurgent and he also served on Regent during the Falklands operation. he was 81.
George informs me that Ernie can be seen here at centre left of the photograph.
Ernie was not a member of the RFA Association so I have no details at all but should I get anymore information I will, as ever, post it to this page.
On behalf of the RFA Association and of course all Ernie’s old Stonnery shipmates I offer our sincere condolences to all his family.
